Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
You will need to have high skill levels in milling, turning, grinding, spark erosion, welding & benchwork.
Preparation of injection moulds for production according to specification.
Carrying out repair jobs on injection moulding tools on a daily basis and within the scope of preventive maintenance.
Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the injection moulding machine with minimal downtime to aid production
Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
Maintain all necessary records i.e. Tool Trials, Job Sheets etc.
Working with other departments and teams in production aligned to strategic objectives; capacity is proactively planned and managed.
Complying with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health & Safety Procedures relevant to all work activities.
Provide support and involvement in the Jokey Production System Program. (Continuous Improvement, Shop Floor Management)
About you
The successful candidate will ideally have
Machining and benching skills
Experience with plastics injection moulding toolings
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
HND/C&G qualification or Apprenticeship
You will ideally have experience in root cause analysis focusing on process and tooling, and working knowledge of hot runner systems & mould assemblies
You will be able to demonstrate strong and clear accountability/responsibility for the successful and accurate completion of designated tasks
Strong communication skills and good competence in Microsoft
