Assembly Services

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

Plastic Parts Assembly and Packaging Services

The plastic parts assembly tasks that we complete on-site include bonding together components, applying oil or other substances and fitting O-rings. We can also take care of self-tapping screw assemblies, nut and bolt assemblies and packaging products into boxes or bags, with a heat seal or staple header card. We have experience in ultrasonic welding and can give advice on the suitability of this. At every stage of the assembly process, we consistently check for quality and make sure that everything is running smoothly.
WHAT WE DO?

Colour matching, post machining and thread inserting

If you’d like to colour match parts, we can take care of it with a choice of options to suit your budget. Where threads are concerned its often cost restrictive to have these moulded into the products. We would assess the product design and make sure you get the most cost-effective components possible. We can create internal threads by tapping plastic parts rather than having a thread-removing device in the tooling. We can also source strong brass or stainless steel thread inserts, if you need something very strong. These would either be moulded during production or press-fitted afterwards.

Process & Project Management

Our team will work with you through the following stages of our process to ensure we deliver top-quality service and top-quality products.

Plastic Pellets
The process begins with feeding plastic pellets into the hopper. These pellets are then transported forward by a screw inside the barrel over a one-way valve called the screw tip assembly.
01
Heating
Heater bands surrounding the barrel warm the plastic pellets. As they move forward, they melt, forming a molten plastic mass at the end of the screw in front f the one-way valve screw tip assembly.
02
Injection
Once molten, the plastic is injected into the mould cavity by the screw acting as a plunger.
03
Solidification
Within the mould, the plastic solidifies, usually within a minute. Ejection: The mould opens, and ejector pins push the cooled part out before the mould closes to repeat the cycle.
