If you’re looking to minimise production costs and produce plastic parts with precision on a quick turnaround time, injection moulding is a great way to do it. We will guide you through the process and ensure your products are produced to exacting standards. We have a wide variety of plastic polymers to chose from and over fifty years of helping clients. Ledwell’s design and set-up process is robust and will give you peace of mind and exceptional value.
Because injection moulding is such a fast process, it’s perfect for high-volume production runs from 100 parts upwards. The higher the run, the lower the cost, making injection moulding an extremely cost-effective way to produce repeatable products at scale.
Ledwell have been providing injection moulding services since 1968.
We start every project by listening carefully to our customers. When we’ve worked through the initial stages to confirm the right design and materials, we will then custom-make the mould to suit your design. Using specialist injection moulding machinery, plastic pellets are melted and then injected at high pressure into the mould. Once the plastic has solidified, you’re component is made. Moulds can be made from aluminium, steel, pre hardened or hardened stainless steel. The type of material used to produce the mould will vary depending on what the requirements of the project are. With over 50 years of experience in injection moulding, we’ve refined the process to produce cost-effective, quality parts at scale. Here’s how we do it.
At the start of any project, we’ll schedule an initial consultation to listen and understand exactly what you’re looking for.
Drawing on decades of expertise, we’ll think carefully about the design for your tooling and offer the best and most cost-effective solution for manufacturing and materials.
We’ll explain this face-to-face so you know exactly what you’re paying for. Each quotation includes itemised tooling and part prices, plus a guaranteed timeline before you’re liable for repairs.
When you’ve had time to think about the quotation we’ll get back in touch to answer any questions.
If you confirm you’d like to go ahead, we’ll offer bespoke design and material advice as we head towards the tooling stages. We’re grateful for every customer that puts their trust in us.
As your tooling goes into production, we’ll keep you informed at every step so that you know exactly what’s happening.
All tools are sampled in-house in the correct materials for production. We’ll make sure that each component is reviewed before sending it to you for approval.
It’s common for a new design to need some small adjustments. We’ll work closely with you to make sure it’s all as you need and expect.
As soon as you’ve placed your order, we’ll confirm the delivery date. We pride ourselves on quality and delivery, treating every customer with equal importance.
We’ll let you know when to expect your products, sent using trusted courier services or our own transport. Building a strong partnership with you for the future is what we love to do.
